The title of my new painting, "Portrait of a Geisha," is part of a series of works created in the style of Japanese minimalism called "Dreams of Japan." This piece is made using acrylic, which allows me to achieve vibrancy and clarity in the details. Acrylic is the perfect medium for me because it dries quickly and enables me to layer multiple coats, creating depth and volume in every element.
On the left side of the painting, there is a haiku: "Your gentle visage Born in my dreams Of Japan," which adds a lyrical and cultural dimension. This text not only points to the inspiration I drew from Japanese poetry but also reflects my feelings and dreams about a country, its culture, and the aesthetics that I hold dear.
My work is infused with the philosophy of minimalism, where every stroke carries meaning, and each detail is chosen with love and care. I aimed to create an atmosphere that invites the viewer to delve into their own reflections and interpretations. The use of red, accented with black, blue, and yellow, creates a dynamic interplay that reflects the rich palette of Japanese culture.
This painting is my personal dialogue with Japan, my way of expressing admiration for its traditions and beauty. I hope that every viewer can feel the same energy and passion that I poured into this piece
